On Saturday 22nd August 2026, Wy. Bro Jon Castle, Commander of the Provincial Grand Supreme Rulers Arch of Steel, made the journey up to Musselburgh to attend the highly anticipated Annual Provincial Meeting of the Province of East Scotland. The occasion marked a momentous milestone in the calendar for the Province, as brethren gathered in strong numbers to witness the Installation of their new Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, performed with great dignity by the Most Worthy Grand Supreme Ruler, M. Wy. Bro. Andrew Sweeney.

Wy. Bro Jon was privileged to attend the ceremony as an active member of the Grand Supreme Ruler’s Arch of Steel, performing his ceremonial duties throughout the solemn and memorable proceedings.

Following the formal Installation of the new Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler and his Deputy, the proceedings took a particularly special turn. The Most Worthy Grand Supreme Ruler requested the Grand Director of Ceremonies to present Wy. Bro Jon before him. In a touching moment of recognition, the Grand Supreme Ruler personally invested Jon with his distinctive black and gold collarette. This honour was conferred to mark the outstanding dedication, skill, and steadfast commitment Jon has demonstrated throughout his probationary period, formally confirming his full appointment onto the Grand Supreme Ruler’s Arch of Steel.
