On Wednesday, 9th September 2026, a congregation of 23 Secret Monitors gathered at the Sutton Coldfield Masonic Hall to witness an impressive and memorable ceremony. The meeting marked the occasion where the Supreme Ruler, Wy. Bro. David Evans, installed his successor, Wy. Bro. David Greenway, as the Supreme Ruler of the Conclave for the ensuing year.

The installation ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, V. Wy. Bro. Neil Watkin, who was accompanied by the Provincial Grand Visitor on duty, Wy. Bro. John Peakman. The brethren present were treated to a flawless demonstration of the ritual, as Wy. Bro. David Evans installed his successor in his trademark outstanding and dignified manner, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

Once the formal proceedings and routine business of the evening were concluded, the newly installed Supreme Ruler faced his first official task. Wy. Bro. David Greenway formally received the Supreme Ruler and brethren of Evergreen Remembrance Conclave, who presented and delivered into his safe keeping the ceremonial “Travelling Arrow.” With this act, the Conclave is now entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the arrow before delivering it to its next destination as it continues its traditional journey around the Province.

Following the close of the meeting, the brethren retired to enjoy the warmth and companionship of the festive board, where good humour and fraternal fellowship prevailed. We extend our warmest congratulations to Wy. Bro. David Greenway, his newly invested officers, and all members of the Conclave, wishing them a happy, prosperous, and successful year ahead.
