R.Wy Bro. Dennis Andrew Freshwater, Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of Warwickshire,
installed as President of Invictus Consistory.

At the Installation meeting of Invictus Consistory No. 149 Scarlet Cord held at Ashfield House, Burton-On-Trent, Derbyshire on Monday 3^rd March 2025, we witnessed R.Wy Bro. Dennis Andrew Freshwater, Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler of Warwickshire, installed as President of the Consistory.

The ceremony was ably conducted by the Installing President Dist. Comp. Richard William Vipond, and in addressing the newly Installed President R.Dist.Comp. Graham Holden, Provincial Grand Summus for Midland Counties, commented that the meeting demonstrated the strong connection between the Scarlet Cord and Order of Secret Monitor with members from over 10 Provinces present, from home and abroad,  including the Provincial Grand Summi from Devon and Cornwall, East Lancashire, Midland Counties (present and past) , and the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler’s from Staffordshire and Shropshire,  Cornwall, and Warwickshire (present and past).

The meeting was swiftly followed by the meeting of Sagittarii Britanniae Conclave No 634 OSM where Bro. Jussi Matias Tuovinen, Finland, was elected as Supreme Ruler to be installed at its Installation meeting in October. The Candidate for Induction was unfortunately delayed due work, and an excellent lecture was delivered by Wy.Bro. Alasdair Watson entitled ‘Major Burton & HM Hospital Ship Rohilla’.

Invictus Consistory No. 149 Scarlet Cord and Sagittarii Britanniae Conclave No 634 OSM meet on the same day on 1st Monday in March; 1st Monday in July; and 1st Monday in October. Held as morning meetings they are followed by mid-day Festive board. Both units are formed of members and ex-members of the armed forces Navy, Army, Airforce with members both at home and from abroad eligible to join. They are fully working OSM and Scarlet Cord inducting/receiving members into each of the degrees of OSM and progressing to the Grades in Scarlet Cord.
