Ever Green Remembrance Conclave No. 229, Wednesday 25 February
What a fantastic meeting it was at Ever Green Remembrance Conclave No. 229 on Wednesday, 25 February — a night that will sit fondly in the memory of everyone who attended. The admission of Bro. Joffre Reynolds as a Prince of the Order gave the evening a real sense of occasion, and the Conclave rose to the moment beautifully.
The support from across the Province was striking. The Provincial Supreme Ruler, R. Wy. Bro. Dennis A. Freshwater, was front and centre, lending the full weight of his office to the proceedings. Alongside him stood the Deputy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, V. Wy. Bro.. Neil E. A. Watkin, whose presence added further distinction. A strong and enthusiastic delegation of Provincial Officers completed the picture, their turnout demonstrating the unity, pride, and commitment that define the Province at its best.
Under the steady and assured direction of Wy. Bro.. Geoffrey M Lates, the ceremony was given by Wy. Bro. Hosey Davoudian and unfolded with precision, dignity, and a calm confidence that set the tone for the entire evening. His delivery was polished yet warm, allowing the significance of the moment to shine through without ever feeling rushed or overly formal. For Joffre — and indeed for every Brother watching — it became one of those standout Masonic moments where ritual, meaning, and atmosphere align perfectly.
Once the ceremonial work concluded, we retired to The Haig Hotel in Balsall Common for the festive board carried the energy forward with ease. The room filled quickly with laughter, lively conversation, and that unmistakable sense of shared fellowship that makes these gatherings so special. The banter flowed freely, and the warmth in the room never dipped for a moment. It was the kind of festive board where everyone feels included, where new friendships are made and old ones strengthened, and where the spirit of the Order is lived as much as it is spoken.
By the time the evening drew to a close, the Conclave had delivered one of those rare nights where everything simply comes together —It was, in every sense, a standout night for Ever Green Remembrance 229 and a fitting welcome for Bro. Reynolds as he steps forward in his Masonic journey.
