On 2nd February 2026, the members of St Martins Conclave No 509 gathered at the Masonic Hall, Severn Street, for their annual Installation meeting. The occasion was marked by an impressive turnout, with the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, R. Wy. Bro Dennis Freshwater, in attendance. He was joined by several distinguished Grand Officers, as well as numerous officers from the Provincial Grand Conclave of Warwickshire. Notably, members of the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler’s Arch of Steel, led by Provincial Grand Visitor Wy. Bro John Peakman, were present, adding to the significance of the event.

After the customary opening formalities, the Supreme Ruler, V. Wy. Bro Alan Brumwell, Deputy Grand Recorder, announced the installation of Wy. Bro James Shaw as Supreme Ruler. The ceremony was carried out with great solemnity and precision, reflecting the dignity and traditions of the Order. The highlight of the proceedings was the address delivered to the newly installed Supreme Ruler by the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, which was both inspiring and encouraging for the year ahead.

The formal meeting was followed by a convivial festive board, where members and guests enjoyed an excellent meal together. The festive board provided a warm atmosphere for all to reflect on the day’s events and to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship, which are central to the Order of the Secret Monitor.

As the Conclave looks forward to the coming year under the leadership of Wy. Bro James Shaw, the members extend their best wishes to him and to all the brethren of St Martins Conclave No 509 for a successful and harmonious year ahead.
